Beauty Review: Red Cherry Lashes in WSP and DW

Or rather a new Beauty Review. Okay so I love lashes! I think it makes any look so pretty.. Even though I've been using lashes for a long time, I am still NO EXPERT in applying them. I take my time. One time I did the extension thing at the salon and it didn't last long because I wasn't careful, it was too high maintenance. You got to sleep carefully, wash your face carefully, don't rub your eyes, shower carefully. It was tiring and also EXPENSIVE!! So no thanks, I'd stick to my fake lashes. At least I could change the length anytime.

Anyway, this post is perfect for the LASHES LOVER like me! I'm reviewing the RED CHERRY LASHES - One of my favorite brands of lashes!

$3.49 CAD
$3.17 USD
(based on the currency converter)
100% Human Hair

This is my favorite glue of all times - DollyWink Lash Glue. Lasts all day and unlike Duo, my lashes stay intact all day even when I sweat.

I really like #DW Because it can be used everyday and its not that noticeable. It doesn't scream "Hey I'm wearing fake lashes, look at me!" It actually looks so natural!

Caring for these eyelashes are simple. You just have to clean them with your eye make up remover and store them somewhere. Don't be like me, sometimes I misplace the other pair :(

100% Human Hair

Now these lashes scream, "I look fab, let's party!" They're long and really bat-eye-licious! (i just made a word! hahahah)

Here I'm with the famous Disney Star - Anna Maria Perez De Tagle of Hannah Montana and Camp Rock.

Anyway, back to the lashes, they're really nice and has thin band which makes it look so natural and my eyes doesn't get irritated on the sides. I hate thick bands, its so hard to position them on your eyes.

The website where I got the lashes:

They carry everything from hair stuff, body stuff, make up and different kinds of lashes. They offer FREE SHIPPING In CANADA! No Minimum! Score for CANADIAN folks!! Even though I'm from US, the shipping was actually fast! and I love the lashes that I got. I have more lashes to review!

Hope you all enjoyed this post!! Love you all! Hair update soon!!

Week 1 of my Hair Update

Hello again.. I figured I'd do a weekly update so I'll see if my hair had an improvement. If not, I will chop it all off! Hahah! Sooooo.. It's been a week! Anyway remember how it looked on the last post?

Please tell me there's changes! Lol! Well what I have been doing differently? I am currently using Pureology Shampoo and Condition. Oh man that stuff smells amazing!!! But so expensive I nearly fell out of my seat when I saw how small the bottles were. I'll take a picture next time.. Oh and I'm also using vo5 hot oil (1 minute in the shower). I've used it 3x this week. And I'm also using some supplements but I can't reveal that yet.. I need to see first if it works then I'll let you guys know ;) hmmm.. What else? Ah, I continued using the Rose Aroumatic Treatment (pic was in my last hair post) and that smells ahhhmazing as well! I have gotten compliments on how my hair smells delicious! Oh also I got the japanese hot oil for free and I think it did do good on my "alive" hair but didn't do much on my "dead" ends. Hahah!

Here it is.. This is air dried and I didn't comb or brush it. I just let it dry just as is it. And my "alive" hair looks nice and straight and shiny.. But my dead ends.. Well it looks dead still. Hahah!

But I'm happy to say my hair has been hot tools free for a week now!!! I will update again in a week. I bought something again (another hair treatment) from amazon and it hasn't arrive yet. Will let you guys know what it is once it delivers. I'm excited to be back on blogging again..

Add me on instagram.. My IG name; @adriiyah (yup 2 ii) - the old IG was deleted long time ago.. Comment me!!!

Beauty Review: Hopeful Kiss

Okay so this is not a product that I'm reviewing. It is actually a shop:

Recently, my blogger friend Galaxia from http://hopefulkiss.blogspot.com or http://hopefulkiss.com started a shop called Hopeful Kiss. It's basically a shop where you can buy sample lipstick of any lipstick you wish to try before buying the full size product. I thought this is clever especially if you're like me who wants to try almost all the shades in the world in different brands. It can get very expensive and during my make up hoarding years, I only finished 1 or 2 tubes of lipstick. (Been hoarding make up for about 6 years now). So when she offered me to try some sample lipstick, I immediately agreed!

Thanks Galaxia for the freebies! An anklet, a full size lipstick, and a cute headband! also the sample lipstick that I got are:

• Revlon kissable pink
• OCC lip tar Psycho

This is the Revlon "Kissable Pink". It's a nice baby soft pink and compliments my skin tone well. You see I don't usually wear this kind of pink as it feels like it washes my skin tone off but this one seems like it's a good kind of pink.

Here is under natural lighting.  It's really a cute pink. Something I would never think I'd buy but trying the sample, I think I might buy the full size.

She gave me a generous amount of sample. In her shop, the prices vary as the lipsticks have different prices. Of course, the more high end a product is, the more expensive the sample.

OCC Lip Tar in "Psycho".. When I first saw this, I was like "oh no an orange lipstick? I don't think id like this.." But when I tried it on, boy oh boy, I want to buy the full size right away!! It's such a nice shade of orange and it compliments whatever eye make up you're wearing!

Here is under natural lighting. It's buildable. I only applied it very thinly.

Hope you are as thrilled as me for this new shop. Visit the shop at:

and let me know what you're planning to try!! :)

Hair Treatment Gone Wrong?

Hi everyone! I decided to blog again.. It probably will contain more personal stuff than review stuff.. :) I like to write and I actually have a journal that I write stuff in but I figured I love writing in my blog before so why not do it again...

anyway, last Wednesday, I went to this salon that my friend works at.. I originally wanted a Brazilian blow out. For those of you who don't know that, just google it.. :P the reason why I wanted one is because my hair has been dry lately.. Well it started during when I colored my hair reddish purple. I'm guessing it's because it's my first time using that hair product. I forgot the name of it but it looks fancy as it even has Shampoo/conditioner and it was packaged in a cute pouch. I'm such a sucker for cute packaging. So anyway, after coloring my hair, I noticed the ends got dry but my hair is still pretty straight, and soft. I told my friend that my ends are bothering me but I really don't want to cut it. He said come to the salon and we'd do the Brazilian blow out to which I agreed.

I arrived 10 minutes early at the salon, I was already pinteresting some hair stuff and also on instagram I am following this hairstylist named Guy Tang. I so wanted to get my hair done by him but he's not accepting new clients and even if he is, $550 for a starting price seemed steeped. I really can't justify it. As pretty as it looks, I can't spend that much money for coloring my hair. Anyway so I really wanted bayalage so I told my friend "hey do you know how to do bayalage?" And I showed him the picture and he said "don't underestimate my skills". So I figured ok he probably knows then. So I told him I wanted one. He gave me a good price along with the Brazilian Blowout. It was 2.5 hours max that he did my hair. After it was done, I didn't think that my hair looked like the picture that I showed him. But I still like the color so I was content. Not happy but content. The Brazilian blow out came out okay. He even gave me a trim. My ends looked straight. I went home satisfied.

After I showered and combed my hair, I was excited for it to dry to see if my ends stayed the same.. But boy was I shocked to see my hair as dry and as brittle and looked like a straw! It was so ugly that it was breaking. The ends can be pulled and it would break! I started freaking out and texted the same picture to him to see what we should do about it. I was really devastated. He texted me right away and told me to blow dry it. He said it was normal since we bleached it. I had my hair bleached before but it was no way this dry and also I never seemed to notice that we bleached it as he only put foils around my hair. Anyway he was nice and apologetic and told me to come to the salon so he could do a japanese got oil treatment for free. The Brazilian blow out obviously did not work for me. It did more damage than good. I will never get one again ever!!

Since I had to work that day I said I can't and my next day off won't be until Tuesday. He told me to smile and not to worry as he would fix it for me. I couldn't smile with an ugly hair! I was on the verge of tears. I told him I'll come Tuesday. In the meantime I blow dried it and ironed it. See, the reason why I wanted Brazilian blow out -- so i can eliminate hot tools and here I am ended up more damage to my hair.

I started rummaging through my cabinet and found some Moroccan oil and I lathered it all over my hair. Well that didn't work. It actually looked a lot worse. The dryness was emphasized more.

Saturday (right now)..
I just got out of the shower and what I did is I stopped using my shampoo (pic below -- moist, Diane shampoo) which has lauryl-sulfate in it. I read somewhere that if you have dry hair, to start using sulfate free shampoo.
I just bought some from amazon but it wouldn't be here until Tuesday so what I did is I took the samourai rose aromatic treatment (pic above-- this cost $25 in mitsuwa, I know so expensive!!) and mixed it with Moist Diane conditioner (cost $12.99 at mitsuwa and smells soooo good!) and also mixed it with l'oreal Paris hair mask (pic below. From Walmart. I forgot how much) and lathered it all over my hair. I covered it with plastic cap and left it for about 5 minutes. I should leave it longer next time it's just that I'm so sleepy (I came from a 16 hour shift) so I had to hurry.

My hair seems to look better compare to the first one. Too early to tell. I will update you guys in a week to see if there's improvement. But yes, my hair's a mess at the moment :( any advice?

Happy New Year 2014!!!

Omgggg it's 2014 already!!! I think I started blogging around 2008.. 6 years ago!! Wow.. If only I kept up with blogging and Youtube, maybe I'd be expert with make up now too like the gurus who's so popular now. Hahah :) anyway I just want to share pictures with you guys ^^

Make up used:

== MAC Gold Mode pigment
== MAC Gold Stroke Pigment
== brownish eyeshadow to contour V shaped eyes
== MUFE Duo Mat Powder
== NARS orgasm multiples (blush)
== MAC "Violetta" lipstick

We had a great New Years Eve celebration. Lots of good food and drinks!

It's almost my birthday again... Aweee in turning 27.. I feel old! Hahaah!

Anyway onto the New Years Resolution.. I didn't do any resolution last year so I thought might as well have a go this year.. I don't put too much pressure on myself. No dieting stuff, no exercise more and stuff because I know I wouldn't be able to keep up with that.. I do however want to challenge myself by:

••• doing the no make up challenge •••

Basically it's no buying of make up for the whole year! (Except: if you ran out of powder/concealer/brow/eyeliner -- coz those are important!) well because I'm a big hoarder of lipstick, blushes and eyeshadow palette, I want to challenge myself on this.

Next one is..

••• no nail polish challenge •••

No buying of nail polish for the whole year.. Now this is difficult because well I love nail polish!!!

I can't promise anything.. I will try my very best that's for sure hahah!!

Did you do any resolution this year?
