MY SKIN CARE ROUTINE
I actually had been thinking of posting my skin care routine for months now but I don't know how to begin.. it's been a year since I lasted posted what I use to used.
I'll post what I use first...
I guess let's start in the MORNING.
I use
♥ Belo Soap
to wash my face
These products are miscellaneous and only use it when needed:
♥ Face Shop Spot Eraser
♥ B●liv Spots got shots
SKIN TYPE: Dry during winter, Combination during summer, and sensitive at times!
Let's start with BEFORE photos so you can see how horrible my skin was before.
I went to a phase where certain products did not work for me and I got these acne. I suffered for months, until I found some products which helped me a lot. (Click bolded letters to find out which products were they.)
I am happy with how my skin looks now. Of course sometimes, I still get lazy and go sleep with stuff still on my face -___- but I have learned my lesson not to try a product just because the owner of the products are popular or thought they have perfect skin so I must try what they're using. I LEARNED THE HARD WAY!
Well, I hope you all enjoyed my picture filled post. :) See you all next time!!
I'll post what I use first...
I guess let's start in the MORNING.
I use
♥ Belo Soap
to wash my face
then after I wash my face, if I'm going somewhere, I use any BB creams. I alternate these BB Creams that I have:
♥ Maybelline BB Cream
otherwise, if I'm staying at home, I don't do anything after I was my face. (Click products for review).
Then I do more stuff at NIGHT.
At night, I use
to remove my make up.
Then I wash my face with a cleanser. I alternate between:
♥ Ponds White Beauty Cleanser,
♥ ~H20+ green tea cleanser
and when I have my period week, I use
♥ Ponds Clear Solution
Then I moisturize using
♥ Ponds White Beauty Cream
I used to use my Vitacreme B12 which I LOVE! But I can't find it anywhere. I guess I lost it :(
Since I sometimes work night shifts, and sleep late all the time, I like to apply eye cream (sometimes I forget!!!) to depuff my eyes. I use
That's all I do everynight but I also use some products ONCE A WEEK.
I use
♥ Sheet masks
to hydrate my skin. I only do this once a week because when I do it twice a week, I get rashes or redness all over my skin :(
I also use
♥ Vitamin E oil
and apply to the areas needed such as acne scars, around my eye area to hydrate it, and dry areas. Only once a week because it might clog your pores.
These products are miscellaneous and only use it when needed:
♥ Face Shop Spot Eraser
♥ B●liv Spots got shots
Now on to my skin..
NOTE: I never claimed I have perfect skin. I DON'T. I just want to share with you all how I got my skin to look better than what it was before.
As you can see, it was horrible. I was embarrassed, it affected my self esteem.
Then to my skin NOW. Much better. It might not be perfect, but still much better than what it used to be. Please ignore my heavily chapped lips -___- I try to capture a close up look of my skin borrowing my bro in law's DSLR for better picture.
My chapped lips is so gross. -__- it gets like this during winter & no lip balm can help :( Plus I like to peel it. Yeah gross.
Well, I hope you all enjoyed my picture filled post. :) See you all next time!!

ReplyDeleteHey Iyah, we got wide range of Ponds here in Indonesia :)
ReplyDeleteCongrats on having pretty skin again : D woo! Nothing more demeaning than having terrible skin : ( I was blessed tho, but when my skin is uneven I freak out. lol. I can only imagine how sucky it is to have acne prone skin.
ReplyDeleteThanks for being so candid and honest about your acne experience. Glad to see your skin is way better now. Your line about how your self-esteem is affected when your skin went bad — rang so true with me.
ReplyDeleteGosh, I hope my new skincare routine this year would keep my acne-prone skin from flaring up. Still at the experimental stage and always keen to see what others are doing for their sensitive skin as well.
I'm so glad that your skin has gotten better Iyah! The Clinique cleansing balm looks interesting! I'll have to check it out the next time I go to Sephora!

ReplyDelete*ahem* I know which certain brand of skincare to stay away from, THAT IS FOR SURE! HAH!
You're beautiful no matter what, Iyah! But I'm glad you got your skin to calm down so you can have more confidence! I know how having so much crap on your face feels like. No bueno! <3

Wow Iyah you have fantastic SKIN! :) I've never heard of Maybelline BB cream before. Where did you buy it and what shade do you use? I can totally relate with you! I have very bad skin and it really affects my self esteem. I went to the 02b2 class and didn't wear makeup and I was soo self conscious having Koren and Elessa and others see me without makeup. One day I hope we can hang out since we both live in Southern, CA. Maybe lunch on a weekend. :)
ReplyDeleteYour skin is back to being beautiful! :) I always enjoy reading skin care routines. And I am like you with the sheet masks. Can't do more than once!

ReplyDeleteOh, I know what you mean! I used to have really really horrid skin up to high school. Pimples everywhere, I think even worse than you! Then I started using moisturizer, toner, proper facial wash etc and I'm proud to say.. I have only one humongous pimple on my face now! wahhaha.. But of course.. I would prefer if that pimple didn't exist as well =x
ReplyDeletewow, glad that your skin has recovered.youre prettier now.and im happy for you..i also have my fair share on the popular brand..so i must use it or try it then i broke out part.hehe godbless you dear

ReplyDeleteOooh, I have that Pond's White Beauty cream too! I haven't used it consistently though :) I guess I will start now!
ReplyDeleteHi Iyah I wanted to comment on your blog so you can get the comment instead of my blog. I'm actually much darker than you. My Missha BB cream used to be #23 but it was way too light. I like #31, but that's too dark, so I'm in between. Hehehe! :)I stopped using MAC foundations years ago, more than like 4 years so I'm not sure what MAC shade I am unfortunately. I hope you're having a great week!
